Search for new Bucks ownership partners may not be done

New Bucks owners Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry are making a $650 million investment in buying the Bucks and donating to a new arena, but they might not be the only new owners of the Bucks.
“I would be very, very surprised if there are not local people who come in with them as partners,” Steve Greenberg of Allen & Co., a company representing Kohl in the Bucks ownership search, told the Business Journal.
Speculation has run rampant for months on possible local Bucks ownership partners, all the way from Bucks legends Junior Bridgeman to Aaron Rodgers.
The major funding piece that now remains is not necessarily the team, but a new Bucks arena. Even with the $200 million pledged by Edens, Lasry and outgoing Bucks owner Herb Kohl, there still may be about a $300 million gap before it is fully funded.
That may be the area where private donations/ownership share could come in.
