Salvation Army will roll out red kettles for 'Christmas in July'
MILWAUKEE - The Salvation Army is doing something out of the ordinary this year and celebrating Christmas in July.
The organization will be rolling out their red kettles starting Friday, July 19, asking for donations to help families over the summer months.
"For several weeks, our homeless shelter has housed several families and their children," said the Sheboygan Salvation Army branch, one of the participating locations. "As the summer goes on, we expect to see even more."
There will be several locations across Wisconsin participating in Christmas in July. The bell ringing campaign runs through July 27.
