Racine police search for armed robbery suspect

RACINE -- Racine police are investigating two similar armed robberies that they believe are related.

The first robbery occurred on March 19 around 6:45 p.m. at Your Store, 2731 Durand Ave. Police said they recovered the suspect's vehicle - which had been reported stolen out of Franklin - in the 2600 Block of Gillen St.

The second robbery occurred on March 22 around 8 p.m. at High Street Food Mart, 704 High St. 

Police said the suspect displayed a silver handgun with a black slide and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect  ordered the clerk to open the register and put the money in the backpack.

The male suspect was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up and had a black and blue backpack. He had a black mask covering his face and was wearing black gloves.
