WAUKESHA - Police were on the scene of a Waukesha senior apartment complex Tuesday night and were heard using flashbangs, or stun grenades, as part of their response.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the Moreland Grove Senior Living Apartments in Waukesha. A TODAY'S TMJ4 photojournalist reports he heard what sounded like a flashbang being set off, as well as police yelling at an unknown subject to come out of the building.

Sources tell TODAY'S TMJ4 a man with a history of mental illness was destroying things in his apartment. Police were able to remove him from the building without firing any shots, and nobody was hurt.
