WASHINGTON - People in Washington, Illinois are finally being allowed back into their homes after a tornado tore apart a portion of the community this past Sunday.

People are finding whatever they can.  Some found small mementos, jewelry or pictures.  Anything that made home feel like home is being salvaged.

"It feels like a dream and I don't know what to do.  I'm just honestly blessed that my family and friends are okay," said Austin Miller.

FEMA and local emergency management will begin to assess the damage.
