No charges for bar owner who killed would-be robber, 2nd suspect in custody
MILWAUKEE - No charges will be issued against Andy Kochanski, the bar owner who last week shot and killed a man during an attempted robbery.
"Mr. Kochanski's actions were lawfully permissible in defense of himself and others," explains Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern.
Kochanski says three men came into his bar last week and attempted to rob him. He used his gun to defend himself.
Police revealed Monday the man killed in the attempted robbery was Carmelo Matos-Arzola. A second suspect, 21-year-old Jose Munoz has been charged and is currently recovering from a gunshot wound in a Chicago-area hopsital.
