Lockdowns lifted at Nicolet HS, Cardinal Stritch after search for robbers

UPDATE 2:20 p.m.:  An armed robbery involving three suspects occurred around 11:30 a.m Thursday at the Credit Union Services Center, 6402 West Brown Deer Rd., according to the Brown Deer Police Department.

As a precaution, Nicolet High School and Cardinal Stritch locked down their campuses.

Police say suspect one demanded money from the teller at the credit union while displaying a black handgun. Suspect one left the building with suspect two and an undetermined amount of money.

Witnesses reported the suspects fleeing eastbound on West Brown Deer Road in a red Pontiac, driven by a third suspect.

Glendale Police Department officers spotted the vehicle in Fox Point, and the three abandoned the vehicle. A foot chase ensued. 

Two suspects are custody and one is at large. The remaining suspect is described as a male in his early 20’s with a tall, thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie and a  black puffy-style jacket.

UPDATE 1:20 p.m.: The lockdowns at both of the schools have now been lifted, according to TODAY's TMJ4'S Lacey Crisp.

UPDATE: Police tell TODAY's TMJ4 that there was a robbery at a credit union in Brown Deer.  

Two of the suspects are in custody. Police are searching for a third.

GLENDALE -- Police are searching for two robbery suspects on the North shore.

Both Nicolet High School and Cardinal Stritch have been put on lockdown as of 11:45 a.m.

According to Nicolet High School's superintendent, the Glendale Police Department called the school and asked them to place their students on lockdown until further notice.

According to TODAY'S TMJ4's Lacey Crisp, police haven't said what they are looking for and appear to be collecting evidence.
