At least 2 injured after another violent weekend in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - At least two more people were injured in shootings over the weekend.
Two shootings that occurred within 40 minutes of each other sent two people to the hospital. The first occurred Saturday night just after 11:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of N. 55th Street, and one person left one person injured with gunshot wounds.
The second shooting occurred just before midnight, and a 14-year-old old was sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Police told the Journal Sentinel the shooting may have been the result of a drug deal.
The shootings were only two of numerous reported shootings over the weekend, adding to a violent week. Mayor Tom Barrett approved additional police overtime in an attempt to stop the violence.
