Milwaukee prepares to welcome home body of fallen Marine
MILWAUKEE - Wednesday will be a somber day as Milwaukee greets the body of a fallen Marine.
Lance Corporal Jeremiah M. Collins died earlier this month serving in Afghanistan.
We still don't know how Collins died, but that won't necessarily matter when his body returns home.
Collins graduated from Milwaukee's Hamilton High School in 2012. He enlisted and went to boot camp just a few weeks after graduation.
"He became a Marine to become somebody, and he became a great Marine,” said Shannon Collins, Jeremiah’s mother. “His career may be short but he managed to get two promotions and meet a lot of great people."
A large group of patriot riders will be in Milwaukee to greet the body.
