Meteor shower to dazzle viewers Sunday
MILWAUKEE - For those who enjoy gazing up at the stars, there's something special on tap this weekend.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is expecting a meteor shower, known as the Perseids, to be reaching its peak in the next couple of days.
Experts say you can see up to 100 per hour, and the best time for viewing is during the pre-dawn hours.
The meteor shower is expected to peak Sunday and Monday.
However, the Storm Team 4cast is calling for skies to become increasingly cloudy Sunday, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. So, it might be best to watch for the Perseids in southeast Wisconsin early Sunday.
