MILWAUKEE - It's an unofficial sign fall is almost here. Sunday was the last day of the summer swimming season at the majority of Milwaukee County Parks.
The pools normally close this time of year as lifeguards head back to school. Many people swimming Sunday said it felt like it was early this year.
"I don't think everybody knew it was the last day," said Chantel Morales. The Milwaukee woman was with her family enjoying the last few hours of swimming at Pelican Cove on the city's south-side.
Pools at Greenfield, Hoyt and Lincoln Parks will remain open through Labor day. For more information on schedules go to www.countyparks.com
