MILWAUKEE - The city of Milwaukee government offices are closed for the Labor Day holiday, including garbage and recycling pick-up.
An added bonus to the holiday is that there will be no parking meter enforcement.
The We Are Milwaukee rally is replacing Labor Fest, which was canceled this year.
Back in July, organizers said the fest couldn't go on because they didn't have enough staff to pull the event off. The festival usually brings thousands of union workers to the Summerfest grounds on Labor Day.
The march starts at 11 a.m., followed by a rally at Zeidler Union Square.
