MILWAUKEE - Interstate 94 eastbound was backed up Thursday afternoon due to a high-speed chase that ended with stop strips.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the chase started in Jefferson County when a woman failed to stop for traffic stop attempt.
The woman driving the min van was swerving in and out of traffic making other cars clear the way.
The Wisconsin State Patrol tried to use stop sticks at mile marker 297, but were unsuccessful. They finally got stop sticks to work just east of Barker Road.
The resulting stop backed up I-94 EB at Brookfield Road for hours on Thursday.
