MILWAUKEE - Many parents are finding it is getting more expensive to buy purchase school supplies for their kids.
So how much will it cost to get your kids all decked out?
According to USA Today, it could be up to $577 for elementary students, $763 for middle school kids and more than $1,200 for your high schoolers.
One big box store is attempting to ease that burden for some families from Milwaukee, and some kids went back-to-school shopping on Wednesday.
Deondra Marshall will be a 3rd grader at Lafollette Elementary School this year. She's loading up on everything she needs before the first bell rings, with a little help from Target and the Salvation Army.
"To see these kids see their faces light up with the chaperones, it's really exciting," said Abby Rupnow with Target.
The store is giving 120 kids from Milwaukee $81 gift cards to get them off to a good start.
"We're really excited to partner with Salvation Army and be able to help with education in the area," said Rupnow.
While not all the kids are excited about going back to school, they are all excited about their school supplies.
There are 500 Target stores nationwide that are helping kids with gift cards for school supplies.
