MILWAUKEE - Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Gene Mueller has been selected by the Milwaukee Press Club to be inducted into the Milwaukee Media Hall of Fame.

"The 2013 Hall of Fame inductees include lauded journalists and respected industry pioneers. They have honored us by keeping us informed and entertained. Now it's our turn to honor them," says press club president Mary Van de Kamp Nohl. "We look forward to this important Milwaukee Press Club event and the opportunity to be inspired again by these exemplary journalists as they highlight their memorable experiences."

Gene is an entertaining fixture in the Milwaukee radio market, having spent the last 25 years as morning show co-host on WKTI-FM, WTMJ's sister station. A native of Sheboygan, he started his radio career at Sheboygan North High School, went to UW-Stevens Point and began his professional radio career at WSPT AM/FM. He came to Milwaukee in 1981 as news director and morning show host of WQFM, and a year later joined WKTI.

Mueller will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony Friday, Oct. 25.
