Food carts have become an important part of Madison culture
FIB's owner John Hanley sits outside his popular food cart.
MADISON - You could argue they're the best part about Madison: the food carts!
"The Mexican cart has great food. The Samurai cart has great food," said FIB's owner John Hanley.
Hanley is a retired advertising executive from Madison.
"The day we moved here people were calling us 'FIB's,' Hanley explained. "At first, I didn't know what they were talking about."
The FIB's location (across from the Capitol Building) is ideal.
"(This) is the best spot," he said. "Everyone can see my cart."
Most of the customers are state workers, lawyers, and politicians.
"Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, Mayor Paul Soglin, State Sen. Mark Miller, etc." Hanley said. "We just talk food. No politics."
