Ex-County supervisor seeks Hines' seat on council
MILWAUKEE -- A former opponent of Common Council President Willie Hines has announced that he plans to run for his seat.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on Sunday that Eyon Biddle made the announcement to run as Alderman in Milwaukee's 15th district.
Biddle is a former Milwaukee County Supervisor that had ran against Hines in 2012. Hines won by nearly 1,000 votes.
On Friday, Willie Hines stepped down from his position as Common Council President to take a job with the city's Housing Authority.
The city has planned to run a special election to fill the now vacant seat in spring.
