MILWAUKEE - The block parties are where the Harleys hit the real Milwaukee and take the party to the streets.
"It's an awesome time down here," says Brian Luke.
Riders like Luke parked their bikes and packed the east side at North and Farwell Friday for the first night of block parties.
"You visit the bars and got to see a few venders and it's a lot of fun," he says.
How does it stack up to other cities?
"I've been to Sturgis and I'm enjoying this much more," explains Stacey Rogers.
Folks tell us the best thing about the block parties - there are no fees and no fences, just that neighborhood feel they've come to share with their new Milwaukee friends.
"Especially coming from a smaller community," says Shannon Ford. "We come from Cedar Rapids, which is about 120,000 folks. This is nice."
