At least one dead, 2 injured in overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE - Police are investigating numerous shootings overnight, leaving at least one person dead.

The first happened around7:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of W. Center Street. Milwaukee Police report that a man was walking to his car when another vehicle approached him, and multiple shots were fired.

The man, a 22-year-old, died from his injuries. Another victim, a 20-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital. Her condition is not known.

The second shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of N. 36th Street.

A 16-year-old boy was shot after reportedly getting into an argument over a girl friend. He was shot mulitple times, but his injuries appear to be non-life threatening. He is being treated at a local hospital.
