MILWAUKEE - Tennis legend Andre Agassi will be in Milwaukee Monday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at a new charter school.
The first school will be called Rocketship Southside Community Prep.
The group is a nonprofit elementary charter school that's based out of San Jose, California, but will be opening multiple locations in Milwaukee.
Rocketship Education is attracting a lot of buzz around the country. It's a free public school that serves kindergarten through fifth grade.
Eight new schools are expected to open in Milwaukee, and plans to enroll about 4,000 students. The Rocketship approach includes online classes and traditional classes.
Agassi is a co-managing partner of the fund that helped make the school possible.
