MILWAUKEE - More than 900 workers will be out of a job when American TV and Appliance closes it's doors for good over the next couple months.

The sixty year old company made the shocking announcement Monday.
American operates stores in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Three of those are in the Milwaukee area.
A liquidation sale will begin Thursday, February 20th.
During the sale, gift cards will be honored or refunded.
Customers with items on order will have their merchandise delivered or their deposits returned.
Warranties will remain valid because they are serviced by third-party companies.
Employees losing their jobs will received severance and will be paid during the closing process.
American's CEO blamed a rough economy for a downturn in business that led to the shutdown.
