MILWAUKEE - Despite the government shutdown, enrollment for the Affordable Care Act starts Tuesday, as scheduled.
People have until Dec. 15 to shop for new coverage on the health insurance exchanges. Actual coverage doesn't begin until January of 2014.
Even if there is a #GOPshutdown, you can still shop for health insurance tomorrow. The toll-free hotline 800-318-2596, will also be open.— Gwen Moore (@RepGwenMoore) September 30, 2013
Nearly 700,000 people in Wisconsin are expected to shop for insurance on the exchanges.
