MILWAUKEE - Police believe Kris Zocco is one of the last people who saw Kelly before she disappeared. He appeared in court Sunday - charged with keeping a drug house - and having large amounts of marijuana and cocaine in his apartment.
Zocco got out of jail Monday morning. His attorney talked to us.
“He’s upset that he’s in the situation he’s in, clearly,” shares his attorney Michael Levine. “He’s being identified, essentially, as a drug dealer, which he adamantly denies.”
Zocco told police Kelly went to his apartment a couple of times a week to snort cocaine. And he admitted they did it together the night she vanished.
The criminal complaint states Kris and Kelly met someone, bought cocaine, and then returned to Kris’s apartment to do drugs.
Zocco’s attorney tells us his client also wants to know where Kelly is.
Community activist Chris Schwartz spent the day putting up more missing fliers. He also talked to Kelly’s mother.
“She has a lot of hope,” says Schwartz. “She still thinks that they’re going to find Kelly and she’s going to be safe.”
Police tell TODAY’S TMJ4 they don't have any more information to share right now. But if you any idea what happened to Kelly, call Sensitive Crimes.
