OSHKOSH - Several hundred men and women walked the streets of Oshkosh Wednesday night to Take Back the Night.
Wednesay's event at UW-Oshkosh was part of the International campaign against domestic and sexual violence. It involved a rally and a march aimed at breaking the silence and encouraging women to speak out.
"Take Back the Night is a chance for the community to come out in support of domestic abuse and sexual assault victims, rallying together saying that we are not going to tolerate this type of behavior in our community," says Julie Fevola, Executive Director with Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services.
The group uses this one night to raise awareness, support survivors, spotlight people who can help, and remember those lost to domestic or sexual violence.
