MILWAUKEE -- The County Courthouse will remain closed for the rest of this week, and may be on track to open on Monday. County Executive Chris Abele confirmed the closure Tuesday.
Abele said the Safety Building will be open Wednesday, and that crews are working around the clock to clean the courthouse.
Electricity has been restored to the Courthouse, which Abele says should speed the process of cleanup and testing.
An electrical fire over the weekend caused smoke damage that originally closed the courthouse on Monday and Tuesday.
