Delta Center is now officially the Wisconsin Center again
MILWAUKEE - The Delta Center will officially become the Wisconsin Center Tuesday when their new sign is installed.
Delta chose not to renew their sponsorship of the center, and the name was changed back on July 1.
"Crews... will be installing a total of approximately 72 signs throughout the interior and exterior of the building in the coming weeks," said Franklyn Gimbel with the Wisconsin Center District. "Approximately 20 exterior signs and 52 interior signs are being installed on the building between July 1 and July 5."
The Wisconsin Center was the original name of the convention center when it opened in 1994.
"The signs will remain permanent, but may be modified slightly pending the addition of a new sponsor," Gimble added.
The cost for the new signage is expected to cost around $97,000.
