Unrest after Juneteenth celebration in Milwaukee

CREATED Jun. 19, 2013

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police have taken at least four people into custody after an apparent fight a short distance from the end of the Juneteenth celebration in Milwaukee.

It happened just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of North 4th and West Center Streets on Milwaukee's north side.

Milwaukee Police officers wearing riot gear came to the scene.

Chopper 4 video shows a large number of people running away from that corner during the arrest.

The celebration was wrapping up about a block away, on North Martin Luther King Drive.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Mike Jacobs was at the festival earlier in the day, and he says things appeared to be peaceful with a large police presence there.
