MILWAUKEE - This weekend in Wisconsin will be anything but boring, and there will be a lot going on to satisfy just about everyone's taste.
In Milwaukee, it's an Arts Extravaganza. The Lakefront Festival of Art kicks off inside and outside the Milwaukee Art Museum. There will be food, wine, music and much more. You can even bring the kids. There will be activities for the young ones to distract them from the pricey paintings or the items easily breakable.
You can also head to Cedarburg to celebrate the strawberry. It's the Strawberry Festival. There will be strawberry shortcake, slush, wine and even strawberry brats. The Strawberry Festival is happening Saturday and Sunday in Cedarburg.
Greek Fest makes a return at Wisconsin State Fair Park. There will be games and rides for children, a Greek market, and of course food! It runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Fido Fest is happening at Hart Park in Wauwatosa on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be doggy activities, including a salon spa. Your pooch can get a bath, nail trim, a polish and even a temporary tattoo. Fido can also trace his or her family history. There's genetic testing to determine your dog's breed. Plus, here's something your pooch can wag their tail to, a walk run for MADACC.
And, the Summer Soulstice Music Festival returns to Milwaukee's East Side on Saturday, where you can toast to the longest day of the year. And, the kids are invited. New this year are creation stations for the wee ones in your life. The Summer Solstice celebration is happening from noon until until midnight.
The J.J. Watt Foundation will also be holding a 5K Run/Walk Saturday morning. The race benefits the J.J. Watt Foundation, and Watt himself will be on hand to congratulate finishers.
