SHEBOYGAN - Attorneys for the 14-year-old boy accused of helping to kill his friend's great-grandmother last year said he didn't think they were actually going to go through with it, according to the Sheboygan Press.
Nathan Paape, who was 13 years old at the time of the murder, said his friend, Antonio Barbeau, and he had talked about a plan to rob the woman and went to her home with a hammer. But Paape said he thought the idea was a joke.
The District Attorney said Barbeau is expected to testify Wednesday morning.
Barbeau earlier pleaded No Contest to the murder. Paape is charged with First-Degree Intentional Homicide.
