MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Police from around Wisconsin are gathering in Wisconsin Dells for Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's annual public safety summit.

The agenda includes a talk by school security expert Ken Trump about how to best protect schools in the wake of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., last year.

Breakout sessions will include discussions about how sexting can lead to sexual assaults, school bullying and emerging trends in child exploitation.

Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards also is scheduled to speak about how his agency responded to a gunman who killed six people at a Sikh temple in his city last summer.

The summit gets under way Wednesday at the Chula Vista Conference Center. It's scheduled to run through Thursday morning.
