Messmer teacher now charged with 2 counts of sexual assault of a child
MILWAUKEE - More information is being revealed on the events that led to the arrest of a 28-year-old teacher at Messmer High School for sexual assault of two students.
According to the criminal complaint, one of the victims said Megan Garland started "to say things to him and other boys in a flirty manner. [Garland] alwas wanted to hug and was very 'touchy feely' with [him]." She also reportedly made many sexual comments to him.
She allegedly began picking up the 14-year-old and his 15-year-old friend and taking them to school. The victim said she would act flirty with them and "acted like [he] was her 'boyfriend'".
Between May 17 and May 23, Garland allegedly had sexual contact with both boys. She was caught while in the parking lot of Destiny High School with the 14-year-old. An adult citizen opened the car door and allegedly saw her performing a sex act on him.
Garland has been charged with two counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Child - Under 16 Years of Age.
