Delays on northbound 94 expected to grow Saturday night
MILWAUKEE - Southbound traffic was reporting a miserable three-mile backup into Rawson Avenue, where I-94 remained shut down for construction work Saturday afternoon.
Wisconsin Department of Transportation spokesman Mike Pyritz said in contrast, the northbound lanes had just a half-mile backup.
Pyritz said there was no way to know for sure what accounted for the difference. He said there were some vehicle stalls in the southbound lanes Saturday morning where the vehicles overheated.
Despite that, the northbound delays were expected to increase Saturday evening for the Kenny Chesney sold-out concert at Miller Park.
