MILWAUKEE - A major traffic announcement may have you think twice about this weekend's travel plans.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has planned a closure of I-94 on the city's south side.
Crews will construct a storm sewer pipe across all lanes of I-94.
The closure extends from Rawson Avenue to 2th Street. It will happen from 9:00 p.m. Friday until 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
Crews will re-route traffic off and back onto the interstate.
"There always seems to be construction around here," said Andrew Schneider.
"We'll have to find alternate routes around, take 76th or 51st (Streets)."
The DOT says they will have plenty of signs showing drivers what's closed and how to get around, but you'll want to allow for extra time before getting behind the wheel.
