MILWAUKEE - A political group has filed an open meetings lawsuit against the Milwaukee County Board.
Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty says they filed it against the board Monday after a pair of alleged violations of the state's open meetings law.
According to a news release, the first alleged abuse happened on March 14th, involving the Finance Personnel and Audit Committee.
The other one involved a legislative hearing on April 10th about what the group says was a proposal to change the powers and structure of the board.
The group claims a board quorum came to the meeting without any public notice.
