MILWAUKEE - The Journal Sentinel joins us to talk about the unique way students are being asked to prom these days.
Fueled in part by the trend of elaborate wedding proposals that have gone viral, high school students are trying to outdo each other in finding creative ways to invite someone to prom. The invites are sometimes romantic, usually inexpensive, always memorable and, these days, usually public, like Zach Miller asking Aly Hofstede to the Kettle Moraine High School prom via the Miller Park big screen, or Joe Sakmar getting a police officer to pull his girlfriend over while they were driving and 'ticketing'her with a note that said “Will you go to prom with me?”
