Grafton Police investigating armed robbery at US Bank
GRAFTON - Police in Grafton are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday evening, April 15 in the parking lot of a US Bank.
"The victim, Deonte Antonine Jones and his girlfriend Alexis Hurley-Johnson, reportedly drove from Sheboygan to the Grafton US Bank to cash his Federal Tax return check for $5,000.00," according to Grafton Police. "Jones’s girlfriend, Hurley-Johnson, made arrangements with an acquaintance to meet her at the US Bank parking lot to pay her rent."
Jones cashed his check in the bank, and a man who had accompanied Hurley-Johnson's friend pulled a gun and demanded all the money. Both men then fled, "driving what was described as an Oldsmobile SUV, green in color with silver rims," said police.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-23 years old, 5’10”, thin build, light skinned, wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans. The gun is described as a black semi automatic pistol similar to a GLOCK.
There were no injuries reported in the robbery, but the investigation is ongoing.
