We get a dry spell this afternoon

By Jon Byman. CREATED Apr 14, 2013

A warm front is moving through southeastern Wisconsin but before temperatures start to increase snow showers and sleet will spread across the area.  Accumulation will be less than an inch before the wintry mix will change over to all rain showers by 10am and then any shower chances taper off by the afternoon.  It will be windy and temps will be much warmer in the southwest with highs expected to climb near 60 degrees while folks in the northeast and along Lake Michigan will be stuck in the 40s.

More rain showers and even occasional thunderstorms are possible late tonight ahead of a cold front moving through.  An additional tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected by Monday morning.  Temperatures stay mild overnight before falling throughout the day on Monday as colder and drier air pushes in behind the front.  A very slim chance of a shower is possible Monday evening and throughout the day on Tuesday but overall that will give us another break from the rain.

Wet weather returns Tuesday night with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible on Wednesday and especially on Thursday.  Some snowflakes could again mix in by Friday morning but little accumulation is expected.
