SE Wis still recovering from drought
MILWAUKEE - A portion of southern Wisconsin is still listed as abnormally dry by the people who track drought across the US. But Wisconsin is officially out of its drought. We're not totally out of the woods yet, though.
While the top soil is saturated with moisture and quite muddy today, below that the story is different.
"Below the top soil, the subsoil conditions are still fairly dry," said National Weather Service Meteorologist Mark Gehring.
