MILWAUKEE - It's been a hot debate for some time. Today, discussion over a replacement for the BMO Harris Bradley Center heats up.
A number of voices on the issue will gather for a conference at Marquette University today, scheduled for 8:00 a.m.
Everyone from business leaders to lawmakers and representatives of other cities that have had similar debates will be at today's conference.
The issue for Milwaukee is clear. If the Bucks are going to stay here they will need a new modern arena. Most NBA arenas today are bigger and have more options for revenue than the Bradley Center offers.
If the community doesn't find a way to foot some of the bill, it's likely another community that wants an NBA franchise will come up with money.
It's very unlikely the Bucks current owner, former Senator Herb Kohl, would move the team. But a new owner might.
One group not on today's list of speakers is anyone from the Bucks.
