Woman cited for hit-and-run crash that injured Port Washington teen
PORT WASHINGTON - A woman has been cited in a hit-and-run that injured a girl from Port Washington on Wednesday.
According to police, the incident happened at the intersection of Grand and Webster in Port Washington, near Port Washington High School, around 7:30 a.m. March 27.
Police report that the suspect was found based on a company logo on her vehicle. The 36-year old woman from Greenfield was issued traffic citations for Failure to yield right-of-way to a pedestrian in an uncontrolled intersection and Failure to notify police of an accident.
The 15-year-old girl was walking across the street when a car ran over her toe and hit her leg. Her mother is now working to make the intersection safer.
