MILWAUKEE - The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for major changes this week starting right away today.

It is mild out there right now with highs getting into the low to mid 40s thanks to a southerly wind.

However, clouds are on the increase and expect rain showers by the evening commute.

The cold front that follows will drastically change the temperatures overnight with lows dropping into the teens and winds gusting to 35 mph that put wind chills near 0.

The rain will change to snow tonight, with less than 1" of accumulation.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with flurries and a few scattered light snow showers, but temperatures will remain steady in the teens and wind chills below zero all day thanks to winds gusting to 40 mph.

Tuesday night will drop int the single digits with wind chills of -10 to -20.

Wednesday will be sunny with highs near 20 and then we start to prepare for the next storm by late Thursday.

With highs only in the 20s on Thursday, this storm will be all snow, but compared to last week, it has weakened considerably.

Milwaukee will still have decent snow totals of 3-5" by Friday morning, but its not as significant as we thought last week.

It is only Monday and many things could change, so stay tuned.
