OAK CREEK, Wis. - With the start of the new year, officials in Oak Creek are trying to learn from the mistakes of 2012.
Community leaders are asking what more can be done to change the cycle of violence in our community?
The Sikh Temple tragedy prompted an assembly of an anti-violence panel Saturday.
Mayor Stephen Scaffidi joined police chief John Edwards, U.S. Attorney James Santelle and Milwaukee county executive Chris Abele, as well as mental health professionals to talk about the mass shooting at a Sikh Temple last summer.
The panel met at the Oak Creek East Middle School, and included members of the Sikh community, as well.
