RACINE- On Friday, family and friends said good bye to three children who died in a house fire.
About 600 mourners packed a Racine church for the funerals of Dayja, Dalijah and Michael Scott.
Friends believe strength from a higher power kept the Scott family from breaking down.
"I don't even know if I could have been that strong," says a friend of the victims, Dorothy Boyden.
A candle left burning in the bathroom started the fire. The family had their power turned off last month. Heavy smoke made it hard for firefighters to rescue the children. The sisters died trapped in their bedroom. Their brother, Michael died a day later at the hospital, where his brother still remains.
Among the mourners were the kids' classmates from Fratt Elementary. A fourth grader says it was these words from a teacher that makes her feel better about her classmates' death.
"She said little kids that pass like Dayja, Dalija and Michael are all angels," explains Janessa Kittell.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Todd Hicks reports it's been an emotional time in the classroom where the three children went to school.
