Rumors swirling about Aaron Rodgers' possible engagement

By Jesse Ritka. CREATED Nov 14, 2012

MILWAUKEE - The Packers are always the talk of Titletown but lately fans have been talking about more than a Superbowl ring.  According to the blog Busted Coverage, Aaron Rodgers may be engaged.

"Ahhhh, really?  Oh well..." Packer fan Cathy Boone tells TODAY'S TMJ4's Jesse Ritka.  There's already a collective sigh from ladies all across Wisconsin just from hearing the rumor.

Busted Coverage claims that screen grab off of ESPN's broadcast of the Vanderbilt-Mississippi game may be proof that Rodgers proposed to his girlfriend, Destiny Newton.  Be sure to take a diamond-double check of her left finger.

Packers fan Caroline Cox is disappointed, "That's too bad, no, I was hoping he could… Be my boyfriend!"

A hope even married women have been clinging to, especially after hearing about Ryan Braun's recent engagement.  But male football fans like Tom Hansen aren't as interested, "Being a male, not a whole lot of thoughts there."

Aaron Rodgers has stayed silent, even to some of his teammates. "I don't even know if he's engaged!" Linebacker Brad Jones tells Ritka.

Rookie Defensive End Jerel Worthy says he doesn't know about an engagement either, "We were in there yesterday, joking and clowning around and he didn't mention it."

But Worthy ads if Rodgers is in fact engaged, he deserves it, "I'm pretty sure that the lady in his life is very special to him and for a guy to be that big time and to settle down with a lovely woman is just a great blessing."

And while ladies know that all good things must come to an end, they still have the Packers to cheer on.
