GLENDALE- Police aren't releasing the cause of a deadly crash in Glendale Thursday.
78-year-old Sheldon Derzon died when his car was hit broadside by a van. It happened on Green Bay Road at Hemlock Avenue.
Neighbors say speeding is rampant on the road. "It's really busy, the traffic goes really fast," said Pat Braeger. The Glendale woman has no choice but to use the road because of where she lives. She said her neighbor was involved in an accident on the same road several months ago.
The busy traffic and lack of visibility has other neighbors like Floyd Harris changing their daily routine. "There's another way out of the subdivision that goes into Good Hope Rd., so we don't even try to get out at this intersection." Harris said.
Sheldon Derzon was well known in the community. His daughter said people knew him nearly everywhere he went. Derzon and his wife have lived in the home near the crash scene for decades.
Glendale police say the cause of the accident remains under investigation. Officials are not releasing the name of the other driver, who was not hurt.
