GREENDALE- For the second time this year, an investigation is underway at Greendale High School after someone posted a threat in the boys' bathroom.
Greendale High School has its homecoming football game and dance Saturday night.
When students arrived there for class Friday, they saw increased security.
Someone found a threatening message in the boys' restroom Thursday afternoon. It's unclear what the message exactly said -- but made reference to this weekend's homecoming.
Neither the school or police would comment -- but released a statement: "Unfortunately, even though we suspect this may be a prank, we must take the threat seriously and respond accordingly," said John Tharp, Superintendent of the Greendale Schools. "We are working closely with the Greendale Police Department and will hold those responsible accountable for their actions."
So the football game will go on, and Saturday's dance will go on as planned, but the district has increased security by showing police presence.
Students like junior Mario Munoz said this threat won't deter him from enjoying this weekend's activities.
"Still gonna go have a good time -- shouldn't affect what's gonna happen tomorrow and homecoming."
Counselors were available Friday to talk to any students with concerns.
