SHEBOYGAN FALLS - Two boys were set to appear in a courtroom at 11:00 a.m. Friday after being arrested under possible suspicion of first-degree murder following an elderly woman's death.
"We're confident that the individuals went there (to the woman's home) with the intent on causing harm," said Sheboygan Falls Police Chief Steven Riffel.
TODAY'S TMJ4 reports that the 78-year-old victim knew one of the boys. The Sheboygan County District Attorney told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that he believes the boys are 13 or 14 years old.
Police aren't releasing the names of the juveniles from Sheboygan, but believe robbery was a possible motive.
"We believe there are items missing. I will say that we're still working on looking into that possibility," said Riffel.
Authorities are not releasing the victim's name, but do say she died a very violent death.
She was found by a family member in her garage with a large amount of blood around her Wednesday afternoon. Authorities believe the victim died from blunt force trauma, and could have been laying in the garage for a day or two.
Police say she lived alone.
Officers have been spotted standing guard and going in and out of a home on West Ridge Drive.
Neighbors say police have been asking if they'd seen anything funny over the last few days.
The boys could be charged as early as Friday.
