BROOKFIELD- The Act 10 ruling Friday was the big topic of conversation at Brookfield Central's football game.
News of the decision spread quickly at the Brookfield high school Friday afternoon. What it means depends on whom you talk to.
Teacher and coach, Bill Twitchell, laughed it off.
"Who cares. It's not going to make a difference one way or another," said Twitchell. "The state is set on Act 10 and no matter what a judge says, they're going to follow through with it."
The Wisconsin Supreme Court already restored the law once in June of last year after a different judge blocked it.
Irene Mazurek hopes the judge's ruling will stand this time. "It should be null and void," believes Mazurek.
Act 10's repeal is a taste of victory for her.
TODAY'S TMJ4 reached out to the president of the Elmbrook Education Association for a comment, but TODAY'S TMJ4 didn't hear back from him before 10 p.m. Friday.
