WAUKESHA - Prosecutors in Waukesha County have charged a convicted sex offender after police say he was found coaching a children's football team.
John E. Orosco, 38, was arrested after police took more than 100 pictures of him working with the Junior Blackshirts at a team practice. His own children play for that team.
According to the Waukesha Patch, a concerned parent told police Orosco was an assistant coach for the team and had called plays and managed games.
However, the president of the Waukesha Youth Football League say Orosco's request to be a coach was denied after a background check showed he was a convicted sex offender.
Orosco was convicted of sexual assault in 1994 and attempted third-degree sexual assault in 1997.
He's now charged with two counts of felony child sex offender working with children and faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
