2nd officer placed on leave after shooting

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A second police officer has been placed on administrative leave following a shooting in Madison.
Authorities say a Town of Madison officer will join a Fitchburg officer on leave following Sunday's shooting on the city's south side.
Officials say a man with a handgun approached several vehicles, was threatening people and possibly trying to rob them.
WISC-TV (http://tinyurl.com/8ahvzkh ) reports the man fled to Five Nightclub where an altercation took place. When police arrived he took off and was cornered at an intersection.
Fitchburg Police Sgt. Don Bomkamp says the man pulled his handgun and was shot and wounded by police. He's hospitalized under police guard.
